Some say it's the greatest car show... in the world. Others say it started well but had a very patchy first season. All I know is that The Grand Tour came back to Amazon Prime on Friday for a second season.

The season-opening trip involves our three heroes driving in the past, present, and future of the supercar. The setting is Switzerland; perfect for stunning aerial shots of sinuous mountain passes and exhausts spitting fire in long tunnels.

The Grand Tour's second series premiered on the 8th of December, 2017 and concluded on the 16th of February, 2017. It starred ex-Top Gear presenters Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May. The travelling tent was placed in the Cotswolds, United Kingdom with standalone car reviews continuing at the Eboladrome, the Conversation Street News Segment still remained. A new Celebrity Segment was introduced this season.

Last week, I gave my impression on the first episode of the second season of The Grand Tour, as well as my hopes for the remaining 10 episodes. Now, a week later, the second episode has come out, and it was time to see if The Grand Tour had actually improved on the first season, or if Hammond exploding a concept electric supercar in the first episode made it a bit more interesting than the others.

Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May return for season 2 of The Grand Tour, which premiered Friday on Amazon. However, the road to this premiere was rather hard as all three hosts suffered medical emergencies during production on the new season, which visits Switzerland, Mozambique, Colorado, and many other locations.

The Grand Tour officially began its second season December 8, with Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May at the helm. Although the spirit of the show remains the same, there are plenty of changes from its inaugural journey.

After having multiple celebrities meet with "unfortunate accidents" all throughout season one, The Grand Tour will now feature weekly celebrity guests pitted against each other. The segment will be called "Celebrity Face Off", and each week we're going to see two big-name stars trying to set fast laps on the show's brand new track.

As for the very first episode of The Grand Tour's second season, which airs on December 8th on Amazon Prime, we'll see none other than David Hasselhoff from America's Got Talent, take on The Voice UK's Ricky Wilson.

With Friday's premiere of The Grand Tour's second season behind us, automotive television's most famous trio is finally back on our screens. Amazon has now released Season 2's montage on YouTube for the world to enjoy, serving up a taste of what viewers can expect over the next couple of months.

While those of you who watched last week's episode will find the clip familiar, those still on the fence over whether or not the show's sophomore season will be worth the time and bandwidth may wanna check this out. Spoiler alert: Prepare yourself for a heavy dose of fast cars, exotic locales, and dad rock.

Couple all of that with a particularly strong (in my eyes, at least) first episode, and I'm optimistically looking forward to the rest of the season. The Grand Tour Season 2's first episode is available to stream now on Amazon Video. Episodes will release weekly every Friday at midnight GMT which means if you're reading this somewhere in America, Episode 2 should be ready in time for a Thursday night viewing.

BuzzFeed and Prime Video teamed up for the second season of Prime Video's hit series, The Grand Tour, following a successful partnership for Season 1, Together BuzzFeed and Prime video set out to raise awareness and drive viewer intent for the new season by creating a cross-country "Dirty Tour" trilogy mirroring the climates the cast of Grand Tour had to endure. The content featured The Grand Tour Hosts James May and Richard Hammond challenging the hit BuzzFeed series the Try Guys Zach Kornfeld, Eugene Lee Yang, Ned Fulmer, and Keith Habersberger to compete in races using dune buggies, swamp boats and sled dogs.

Those are the words uttered by Jeremy Clarkson at the very start of the trailer for the second season of The Grand Tour car show. Clarkson is behind the wheel of a Jag, staring down at a snow-covered and very steep ski run. One that he's about to drive down. No wonder he said, "Holy mother of God."

Opening in 1979, The Grand Tour marked Jerry Herman's return to Broadway after almost a decade away.
